Below are critters available for sponsorship.

Released Wallabies

Toby

"Toby" is a male Agile wallaby. He was given to me on 10 July 2009 and was 2100g. He came into care three weeks earlier, mother was dead on the road and he was nearby at Mission Beach. Last weighed him on 10 September 2009 and he weighed 4354g. He has been released at Mena Creek and still comes home every day. He's a happy little solid fella who loves the company of the other wallabies.

Anni

"Anni" is a female Agile wallaby. Taken from the dead mother's pouch (hit by a car) on 19 November 2008. She had two fractured legs, eyes still closed and no fur, weighed 233g. Legs healed very nicely all by themselves. Last weighed on 10 September 2009 and she weighed 4615g. She has been released at Mena Creek but still comes every day.

Abiu

"Abiu" is a female Agile wallaby joey who was found on February 14, 2006 and weighed 500 grams. Her mother was dead and "Abiu" was lying on the road beside her at South Mission Beach

Zulu

"Zulu" is a male Agile wallaby joey and was found at Wongaling on February 6, 2006 and weighed 222 grams.

Yindi

"Yindi" is a female Agile wallaby joey, whose mother was caught in a pig trap and upon release abandoned the joey. She was found on February 1, 2006 and weighed 765 grams. She has gone to live with "Hooligan" and "Vinni".

Xway

"Xway" is a male Agile wallaby joey who was found on January 25, 2006 near north Mission Beach. He weighed 300g and had a bad head injury where he came out of the pouch and hit the bitumen road. His mother was not killed but hopped off and left him.

Wasabi

"Wasabi" is a male Agile wallaby joey who was found on Midgeribar Road on December 16, 2005. He was just on the side of the track with no mother in sight. "Wasabi" had no fur but his eyes were open and he weighed 320 grams.

Vinni

"Vinni" was found on 15 December, 2005 at Kurrimine Beach. His mother was killed by a car and Vinni was still in the pouch. "Vinni"is a male Pademelon and weighed 334g. He has gone to live with "Hooligan" and "Yindi" at Mena Creek.

Umeko

"Umeko" is a female Pademelon joey who was found on the Mission Beach/Tully Road. Her mother had been run over and her older joey ran off into the bush. "Umeko" was found on December 14, 2005. She had no fur and her eyes were closed. "Umeko" weighed 100g.

Tsunami

"Tsunam" is a female Agile wallaby joey, whose mother had been run over. She was found at South Johnstone on December 13, 2005. She weighed 200grams. She had no fur and her eyes were closed. "Tsunami" is doing well and lives with "Sushimi" and "Xway".

Sushimi

"Sushimi" is a female Agile wallaby joey who was found at South Johnstone by a farmer who didn’t know what happened to her mother. She was found on December 9, 2005 She weighed 230grams. Her eyes were still closed and her skin was burnt.

Quinkan

"Quinkan" is a red-legged Pademelon who was brought into the Tully Vet Surgery on December 7th2005. "Quinkan"’s mother had been run over near El Arish. He weighed 500g, had plenty of fur and was very cheeky. "Quinkan" lives with "Flipa" and we hope to release them together later in 2006.

Nadu

"Nadu" is a female Agile wallaby joey, who was found on South Mission Beach Road on November 19, 2005. Her mother had been run over by a car. She weighed 268grams. "Nadu" lives with "Kimono" and "Indi" and is doing well.

Murri

"Murri" is an Wallaroo joey who was brought into the Tully Vet Surgery on Saturday, November 5th, 2005. We are not sure where he came from or what happened to his mother, but Murri is doing fine - he has plenty of fur and weighs about 1.8kg. He is big compared to the wallabies, but is still only a baby.

Limey

"Limey" is a male Agile wallaby joey and was found on October 29, 2005. He had a badly broken leg which was set by the vet. "Limey" lives with "Kimono", "Nadu" and "Indi" and except for a deformed foot, is doing well.

Kimono

"Kimono" is a female Agile wallaby joey, whose mother was dead on Wongaling Beach Road. "Kimono" was found on October 17, 2005. She weighed 220 grams. "Kimono" lives with "Indi" and "Nadu" and is doing well.

Indi

"indi" is a female Agile wallaby joey, whose mother died from unknown causes on September 18, 2005. She weighed 165grams. "Indi”"lives with "Kimono" and "Nadu" and is doing well.

Hooligan

Hooligan is a male Agile Wallaby, found on the road between Mission Beach and Innisfail on 7 September, 2005. He weighed 285g, had no fur but seemed quite healthy.

Ginger

'Ginger" is a female Agile wallaby joey who was found near the school at Wongaling Beach at 6:30am in the morning of 1st September, 2005. Her young mother had been hit by a car and she was still in her pouch. Ginger was lucky to be alive with only a small bruise. She had only a little fur and weighed 450 grams. She will go and live with Didgeridoo.

Flipa

"Flipa", a male red-legged Pademelon joey, was found on 12th of August, 2005. at Bingil Bay. His mother had been run over. "Flipa" weighed 86g, had no fur and his eyes were still closed. He seems healthy and drinks all his milk. He will need to be fed every 2 hours, at least until he opens his eyes.

Didgeridoo

Didgeridoo is a male Agile wallaby joey who was found just south of Innisfail on the morning of Saturday 9th July. His mother had been hit by a car and he was still in the pouch. He was very cold and frightened, had no fur and weighed 285 grams. He had no injuries, and once we warmed him up was more than happy to drink his bottle.

Alpha

"Alpha", an agile wallaby, was found on the 13/4/05 at Narragon Beach. He was inside a fenced yard on the grass alone. Alpha was healthy and alert, weighing 400grams and with no fur. We plan to release him towards the end of this year.

Yoyo

"YoYo" is a female Agile wallaby joey, whose mother was run over outside the Mission Beach Primary School on the morning of 22/02/05. She weighed 550grams and settled in straight away with Wally and Vegemite, who are both about her age.

Zorro

"Zorro" & his dead mother were found in the middle of the road just south of North Mission where the forest meets the town about 8:30am 10/03/05. He weighed 310grams. One of his legs was fractured, thankfully able to be set at the Tully Vet Surgery. After 3 weeks the leg had healed. Currently lives with Alpha.

Wally

"Wally" is a male Agile wallaby joey whose mother was killed on the Bingil Bay - El Arish road early in the morning of 3rd December, 2004. Wally had gravel rash all over from the accident, weighed 320grams and had no fur. His wounds healed quickly and he is now in perfect health, enjoying life with his little friend "Vegemite". They are both very cute and cuddly, but Wally is also quite cheeky!

Vegemite

"Vegemite"is an female Agile wallaby joey whose mother was hit by a car on Cassowary Drive on 20th November, 2004. Vegemite weighed 222 grams and had no fur, with her eyes closed. By Christmas Vegemite weighed 410 grams, her eyes are wide open and she's just starting to get a light coat of downy fur. Vegemite lives with Wally, another agile wallaby in care and they were released together.

Uri

"Uri" is an Agile Wallaby whose mother was hit by a car along the South Mission Beach Road, late evening on 28th October 2004. Uri was in good health, with no fur, and weighed about 295 grams. We have two other Agile Wallabies in care -"Trevor" and "Stanley" who are just a bit older then Uri, so they will all get to know each other in care, then be released together in the wild.

Trevor

"Trevor" is an Agile Wallaby who was brought into the Tully Vet Surgery on 13th October 2004 - his mother had been hit by a car near Murray Upper. When he was brought to us, Trevor weighed 465 grams and had no fur, but seemed happy and eagerly took to his bottle. Trevor will be with us for at least another 7 months, so he has plenty of time to get to know his little mate "Stanley".

Stanley

"Stanley" is an Agile wallaby joey who was brought to us on the morning of 20th September, 2004. Stanley's mother had been run over at Wongaling the night before. When he arrived, Stanley weighed 375 grams and had no fur, but appeared to be in good health. Stanley will be with us for about another 8 months, during which time he will get to know Trevor who is about the same age, and they were released together.

Pepsi

"Pepsi", an Agile Wallaby was brought to us on the 18th of July. She had been found on the Tully - Mission Beach Road, where she was removed from her dead mother's pouch. Pepsi weighed 765 grams, she was very frightened, but looked very healthy and alert and had a beautiful coat of fur.

Marmalade

"Marmalade" is an Agile wallaby joey who was brought in to the C4 environment centre on 18th March 2004, fully furred and weighing 900 grams. We are not sure what happened to her mother, as Marmalade was found by herself. She has settled in well and is good friends with another Agile wallaby in care - Heidi (or Lemonade as some of us call her).

Malteser

"Malteser" was found along the South Mission Beach Road, early in the morning on 10th February 2004 - his mother had been killed by a car. Malteser was in good health, just getting some fur, and weighed about 400 grams. Kelvin and Malteser are about the same age, so they will get to know each other in care, and now released together in the wild.

Kelvin

"Kelvin" was found by one of our carers on 18th January 2004 just out of Tully, along Tully Gorge Road. His mother had been killed by a car. Kelvin was small and weak, weighing only 350 grams, and with no fur. After a rocky start, Kelvin did very well.
